Is there anything I should let you know before my appointment?Yes. Please let me know in advance about any nail or skin concerns, previous reactions to nail products, pregnancy, or anything else that may affect your appointment or product selection. If you need to bring someone with you for support or accessibility reasons, please let me know beforehand.

When might a nail service not be suitable?For hygiene and safety reasons, nail services cannot be performed where there are signs of a contagious nail or skin condition, including suspected fungal infections. If you're unsure about the condition of your nails or surrounding skin, please get in touch before booking.

If important details are not disclosed, we may be unable to proceed and your booking fee may still apply.

Do we offer SNS or acrylic manicures?No. We are a gel-only salon and do not offer SNS or acrylic services, including removal. We only apply and remove gel products.

Do we remove or refill other salons’ work?We may refill gel applied by another salon, depending on the condition of your nails and the existing product. If a refill is not suitable, the existing product will be removed entirely.

Do you offer air-dry nail polish?No, we are a gel-only salon.

Do you offer pedicures?No. We currently specialize in manicure services only.

A structured gel manicure uses gel to create a smooth, balanced overlay over your natural nails, adding structure and support while maintaining a natural-looking finish.

At Pineapplechia Nail, structured manicures focus on careful preparation, shaping and supporting natural nail growth — without adding extension length.

A structured gel manicure will generally last around 3–4 weeks, depending on your natural nails, lifestyle and aftercare.

If your natural nails are particularly thin, weak or damaged, this general timeframe may not apply. Your nail condition will be considered individually so we can work towards healthier, stronger natural nail growth over time.

A structured manicure works with your existing natural nail length and does not add extensions. It is particularly suited to short-to-medium natural nails and clients who would like additional structure while growing their own nails.

Gel extensions add length beyond your existing natural nail. Although extension products can create a range of lengths, Pineapplechia Nail specialises in short, natural-looking extensions.

If you would like extensions on all 10 nails, please select or mention the 10-nail extension service when making your appointment so enough time can be reserved.

I offer structured gel manicures rather than a BIAB-specific service. My structured manicure uses gel from a jar to create a supportive overlay over the natural nail, with a focus on structure, balance and natural nail growth.

Yes. If you have a design in mind, you can upload up to three inspiration images with your enquiry.

Your requested design will be reviewed and quoted under one of the Nail Art & Design levels — Simple, Signature or Deluxe — based on the detail and time required.

Absolutely. Short natural nails are welcome.

Pineapplechia Nail also works with clients who would like to grow their natural nails, including nail biters and those who have struggled to grow their nails in the past. We can start with the nails you have and work towards your natural nail goals over time.

Yes. Gel applied by another salon can be removed when booked as part of a new set, subject to the condition and type of product currently on your nails.

Please let me know when making your appointment that you require removal from another salon so the appropriate time can be reserved.

Pineapplechia Nail offers structured gel manicures, gel colour, detailed nail art, hand-painted floral nail art, short gel extensions, gel removal and natural nail care in North Melbourne, near Melbourne CBD.

A complimentary Hypoallergenic Nail Assessment is also available by appointment for clients returning to nails after experiencing a previous nail product reaction. Assessment appointments are limited each week.

Pineapplechia Nail is a private nail studio in North Melbourne, conveniently located near Melbourne CBD.

The studio is approximately a 5-minute walk from the Haymarket / Elizabeth Street tram stop. The full studio address is provided with your confirmed appointment.

No. Please leave your natural nails as they are — I’ll shape and adjust the length appropriately during your appointment.

Street parking is available nearby. If you’re driving, please allow a little extra time to find a parking space before your appointment. More detailed arrival information is provided after your booking is confirmed.
